orange leaves and hoodies and oceans, oh my!

I hear sheet-metal clouds are in ourĀ future for most of the week next week. This makes me happy!

I’ve got quite the challenge on my plate for this next piece. My mom took quite the stunning photo of the ocean when we were riding on the top of a house boat on our way back from Isla MujeresĀ near Cancun. I’ve never seen so many different colors of blue in one place before. It will be very hard to manipulate, but hopes are high. The coastline shows a blurred vision of buildings on the far-off island, all white. This will be difficult as well. I’m not great with structures of any kind.

The canvas I got for it is panoramic, one I’ve never experimented with before. It’s one of those I may have to walk back in forth in front of for a couple of days until I get up enough courage to start – similar to the Grand Canyon piece.

On another note, the leaves are changing which leads us into the most exquisite time of year. Cheers to fall! And hoodies! And long-sleeve t-shirts! And soup! I love soup these days.
